Susan Muaddi Darraj is an award-winning Palestinian-American writer, editor, and professor. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she holds a BA in English from the University of Maryland and an MFA in Creative Writing from American University. Darraj has published several critically acclaimed short story collections, including A Curious Land: Stories from Home and Inheritance of Exile. She is also the founder of the Jerusalem Fund's Palestine Book Award and serves as the co-editor of the popular blog, "Jadaliyya." Ruaida Mannaa, the illustrator of Farah Rocks New Beginnings, is a Palestinian artist and designer based in Jerusalem. She has illustrated numerous children's books and has collaborated with various non-profit organizations to create visual narratives that shed light on issues of social justice and human rights.
