Gene Luen Yang is a critically acclaimed author and cartoonist known for his insightful and thought-provoking works. Born and raised in California, Yang's Chinese heritage heavily influences his writing, often exploring themes of identity, culture, and belonging. He started his career as a high school computer science teacher before pursuing his passion for comics and graphic novels.
