Kazu Kibuishi is a Japanese-American author and illustrator known for his work on the popular Amulet graphic novel series. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kibuishi moved to the United States at a young age and grew up in California. He developed a love for drawing and storytelling from a young age, and eventually attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he majored in Film and Animation. Kibuishi's career as a graphic novelist began with his series Daisy Kutter: The Last Train, but he is best known for his work on the Amulet series, which has received critical acclaim and sold millions of copies worldwide. Kibuishi currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two children.
