Jeff Smith is an American cartoonist and writer, best known for his critically acclaimed graphic novel series, BONE. Born in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, Smith studied at the Ohio State University before embarking on a career in comics. His love for comics began at a young age and he credits the works of artists like Carl Barks and Walt Kelly as his biggest influences. In 1991, he self-published the first issue of BONE, which went on to become a New York Times bestseller and won numerous awards including 11 Eisner Awards. Smith's unique blend of fantasy, humor, and adventure has captured the hearts of readers of all ages and cemented his place as one of the most influential comic creators of our time.
