Creator Bio
Jeff Kinney is an American author, cartoonist, and game designer. He is best known for writing and illustrating the popular children's book series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Born on February 19, 1971, in Maryland, Kinney showed an early interest in drawing and writing and spent his childhood creating comic strips and stories. After graduating from the University of Maryland, he worked as a game designer and eventually began publishing his work online. In 2007, his first book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series was published and quickly became a worldwide sensation, selling millions of copies and being translated into over 60 languages. Kinney continues to write and illustrate the series, as well as work on other projects in the entertainment industry.
