Varian Johnson is an award-winning author known for his heartfelt and poignant stories centered around the experiences of young people of color. He has written several middle-grade and young adult novels, including "The Great Greene Heist" and "My Life as a Rhombus." Johnson is a strong advocate for diverse representation in literature and is a founding member of The Brown Bookshelf, a blog dedicated to promoting authors of color. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts and currently resides in Austin, Texas with his family. Shannon Wright is a talented illustrator and cartoonist whose vibrant and expressive art has captured the hearts of readers.
