Creator Bio
Alice Schertle is an award-winning author of over 40 books for children. She was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in New Jersey, surrounded by nature and animals. Schertle's love for writing and storytelling began at a young age and she went on to study at Rutgers University. Her career as a children's book author took off with the publication of her first book, "A Lucky Thing," in 1980. She is known for her lyrical and playful writing style, as well as her ability to capture the wonder and magic of childhood. Collaborating with illustrator Jill McElmurry, Schertle created the beloved Little Blue Truck series, which has become a favorite among young readers and parents alike.
