Kyle Lukoff is a transgender author, librarian, and educator based in New York City. He is the author of several books for children, including the critically acclaimed picture book "When Aidan Became a Brother" and the middle grade novel "Too Bright to See." As a transgender man, Lukoff is passionate about creating diverse and inclusive literature for young readers. He also works as a librarian for the New York Public Library, where he helps connect children with books that reflect their identities and experiences. Nadia Alam is an illustrator and designer based in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design University with a degree in illustration. Her vibrant and whimsical illustrations have been featured in children's books, magazines, and advertising campaigns. With a love for storytelling, Alam brings Lukoff's words to life in their collaboration on the picture book "Awake, Asleep."
