Creator Bio
Mike Curato is an award-winning author and illustrator based in New York City. He received his BFA in illustration from Syracuse University and went on to work as a graphic designer before pursuing a career in children's literature. Curato is best known for his picture books, including the popular Little Elliot series, which has been translated into over ten languages. His work has been recognized by prestigious organizations such as the Society of Illustrators and the New York Times. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, Curato's stories aim to inspire and empower young readers. Flamer is his first graphic novel and is a deeply personal and poignant coming-of-age story.
