Kazu Kibuishi is a Japanese-American author and illustrator best known for his work on the popular graphic novel series, Amulet. Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1978, Kibuishi moved to the United States with his family at the age of five. He developed a love for drawing and storytelling at a young age, and went on to study film and animation at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His interest in comics and graphic novels led him to create Amulet, a series that has been praised for its stunning artwork and engaging storytelling. In addition to Amulet, Kibuishi has also illustrated covers for the Harry Potter series and has published several other graphic novels. He currently lives in Washington state with his wife and two children.
