Book Fair FAQs
No, sorry: We only offer book fair proceeds in High Five Books store credit.
After your fundraiser is over, our team is glad to help your organization choose the best way to spend funds, whether it's a shopping night for your team, a list of books you'd like us to order, gift cards for individual educators, etc.
(Note: We cannot apply our traditional educator or nonprofit discount to these store credit purchases.)
Your call! Your group gets to choose whether you'd like your in-store book fair open to the public OR be private to your school or organization.

Book fairs make for a sweet community-strengthening event for schools and organizations regardless, of who is invited.

Certainly! Our studio will be set up with tables that you're welcome to place snacks and drinks upon.
If you are planning to bring food, please provide your own utensils and napkins.
Sorry, we do not presently have a full-size refrigerator, freezer, or ice maker: Please keep this in mind when planning treats.
(PLEASE NOTE: We always have Crooked Stick Popsicles and an assortment of candy, snacks, and drinks for sale. Unless specified otherwise, these will be available for purchase during your Book Fair, as well.)
After you reserve your date, our team will send you a survey about your Book Fair preferences AND request your school or organization's logo.
The success of your Book Fair depends on your marketing of your event to your community. Please consider that during your planning!
If you so choose, we will also promote your Book Fair in our email newsletter, in store, and on social media.
Folks who cannot attend your book fair in person can still participate! From the Monday before your Book Fair through the Saturday afterward, people can:
Shop in store and give the name of your organization to the bookseller at the checkout desk.
Shop online at highfivebooks.org and specify your organization in the book bag notes before checkout.
That's totally up to how many people shop it! We split our net proceeds with you, so the more you promote your event, the greater the likelihood folks will shop it. Groups have raised $100-$700 in store credit with us so far.
And yes: We'll provide you with all the assets you need to promote your Book Fair: You just broadcast it as far and wide as you like!
