Kazu Kibuishi is a Japanese-American author and illustrator known for his popular graphic novel series, Amulet. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kibuishi moved to the United States with his family when he was just two years old. Growing up, he was heavily influenced by Japanese manga and American comics, which ultimately led to his love for storytelling through art. He studied film at the University of California, Santa Barbara, but later shifted his focus to comics and illustration. With his unique blend of fantasy and adventure, Kibuishi has captivated readers of all ages with his Amulet series, which has been translated into over 20 languages. He currently lives in Seattle, Washington, and continues to create captivating and visually stunning works of art.
