Dav Pilkey is a renowned author and illustrator best known for his beloved children's book series, Captain Underpants and Dog Man. Born on March 4, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio, Pilkey struggled with dyslexia and ADHD as a child, leading him to create his own comic books as a way to cope with his learning disabilities. He attended Kent State University and graduated with a degree in art in 1988.
