Leah Johnson is a rising author in the young adult literature world, known for her powerful and authentic portrayals of Black girlhood. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Johnson holds a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University and an M.F.A. in fiction writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
