Creator Bio
Dav Pilkey is an American author and illustrator best known for his wildly popular children's book series, Captain Underpants. Born on March 4, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio, Pilkey struggled with dyslexia and ADHD as a child, but found solace in drawing and creating stories. He began writing and illustrating his own books at a young age and went on to study art at Kent State University. His books have been translated into over 25 languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide. In addition to the Captain Underpants series, Pilkey has also written and illustrated other popular series such as Dog Man and Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot. He continues to inspire children and adults alike with his imaginative and humorous stories.
