Loren Long is an award-winning author and illustrator of children's literature. He was born in Missouri and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. After studying art and graphic design at the University of Kentucky, Long pursued a career in advertising before deciding to focus on children's books. His debut as an author and illustrator, "Otis," quickly became a New York Times bestseller and has since been translated into multiple languages. Long's distinctive illustrations, often featuring anthropomorphic animals, are beloved by children and adults alike. He continues to create heartwarming and visually stunning books that inspire young readers. Long currently lives in Ohio with his wife and two sons.
