Laurel Goodluck and Madelyn Goodnight are sisters and members of the Navajo Nation who wrote the book "Rock Your Mocs." Growing up on the Navajo reservation, they were surrounded by the rich culture and traditions of their tribe. Laurel is an artist and illustrator, while Madelyn is a writer and educator. They both have a deep passion for sharing their cultural heritage with others and promoting Native American representation in literature. Together, they have created a beautiful and empowering book that celebrates the tradition of wearing moccasins, also known as "mocs," and the diverse Native communities who continue to honor this practice.
