Creator Bio
Jon Klassen is a Canadian author and illustrator known for his unique and playful storytelling style. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Klassen spent his childhood drawing and creating stories. He later studied animation at Sheridan College and went on to work on various animated films and TV shows. In 2012, Klassen published his debut children's book, I Want My Hat Back, which became an instant hit and won the Caldecott Honor. This was followed by the equally successful books This Is Not My Hat and We Found A Hat, completing what is now known as The Hat Trilogy. Klassen's books have been translated into over 20 languages and have won numerous awards, solidifying him as a beloved and talented author in the world of children's literature.
