Yasmin the Farmer (Yasmin, 18)

Saadia Faruqi is an award-winning author, speaker, and interfaith activist. She was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, and later moved to the United States with her family. After completing her education in business and IT, she began a career in writing and has since published multiple books for both children and adults. Faruqi's work often focuses on diverse and marginalized communities, with a special emphasis on Muslim representation. In addition to writing, she also conducts workshops and presentations on cultural sensitivity and diversity in schools and organizations. Hatem Aly is an Egyptian-born illustrator and graphic designer. He has illustrated numerous books for children, including the Yasmin series, and has received awards for his work. Aly's illustrations are known for their vibrant colors and attention to detail, and he often draws inspiration from his cultural background. He currently resides in New Brunswick, Canada, with his family.
