Kazu Kibuishi is a Japanese-American author and illustrator best known for his graphic novel series, Amulet. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kibuishi moved to the United States with his family at the age of five. He grew up in California and later attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he majored in film and minored in art. Kibuishi's passion for storytelling and art led him to create Amulet, a highly acclaimed fantasy graphic novel series that has sold millions of copies worldwide. In addition to Amulet, Kibuishi has also written and illustrated other graphic novels, such as Copper, and has contributed to popular comic anthologies like Flight and Explorer. His work has been praised for its stunning artwork and engaging characters, making him one of the most beloved and influential creators in the world of graphic novels.
