Saadia Faruqi is a Pakistani American author, essayist, and interfaith activist. She was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, and moved to the United States in 1998. He studied fine arts in Cairo and has worked in the advertising and animation industry before focusing on children's literature. His illustrations are known for their vibrant and whimsical style, and his work has been recognized by organizations such as the Society of Illustrators and the International Reading Association. Together, Faruqi and Aly have created the popular Yasmin series, which celebrates diversity and inclusivity in children's literature.
