Kazu Kibuishi is a Japanese-American author and illustrator known for his popular graphic novel series, Amulet. Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1978, Kibuishi moved to the United States with his family when he was just two years old. He discovered his love for comics at a young age and was heavily influenced by Japanese manga and American superhero comics. Kibuishi attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he studied film and also took courses in animation and painting. He later went on to work for several animation studios before devoting his time to creating comics and graphic novels. With his unique blend of storytelling and stunning artwork, Kibuishi has become a celebrated figure in the world of comics and has won numerous awards for his work.
