Creator Bio
Lincoln Peirce is an American cartoonist and writer best known for his popular comic strip, Big Nate. He was born in Iowa and grew up in Durham, New Hampshire. Peirce studied art at Colby College and went on to work as a teacher and a newspaper cartoonist before creating the Big Nate series in 1991. The comic strip has since been syndicated in over 300 newspapers worldwide and has been adapted into books, a TV series, and a musical. Peirce has also written and illustrated other children's books, including the Max and the Midknights series. He currently lives in Portland, Maine with his wife and two children.
