Elise Gravel is a Canadian author and illustrator known for her quirky and humorous children's books. She has written and illustrated over 30 books, including "The Great Antonio," "The Worm," and "The Worst Book Ever." Her unique drawing style and playful storytelling have won her numerous awards, including the Governor General's Literary Award for Children's Illustration and the Prix Jeunesse des Libraires du Québec. In addition to her successful career as a children's author, Gravel is also a graphic designer and has a degree in graphic design from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She currently lives in Montreal with her husband and their three children.
