Farah and her best friend, Allie Liu, are getting excited to turn in their applications to the Magnet Academy, where they both hope to attend sixth grade. But when new girl Dana Denver shows up, Farah's world is turned upside down. Susan Muaddi Darraj and Ruaida Mannaa are the dynamic duo behind the beloved children's book, Farah Rocks Fifth Grade. Darraj is an award-winning Palestinian American author, educator, and activist based in Baltimore, Maryland. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from American University and is the author of several books, including The Inheritance of Exile and A Curious Land: Stories from Home.
