Mo Willems is an American author, illustrator, and animator. He was born in 1968 and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. Willems attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and began his career as a writer and animator for Sesame Street. He has also worked on popular TV shows such as Codename: Kids Next Door and Sheep in the Big City. Willems has written and illustrated numerous children's books, including the popular Knuffle Bunny series, which has won multiple awards and been translated into several languages. He is known for his whimsical and humorous writing style and has been dubbed the "Dr. Seuss of his generation" by The New York Times. Willems currently lives in Massachusetts with his family and continues to write and illustrate books for children.
