Two sisters set out to create the perfect environment to welcome fireflies into their yard and put on a light show for their neighbors in this lyrical picture book inspired by a real-life firefly sanctuary.

One summer night, two sisters visit a backyard firefly sanctuary with their mom. They watch hundreds of fireflies put on a magical light show in the dark. The girls decide they want to host a firefly show in their backyard too. First, though, they'll need to make it an inviting home for the fireflies.

Over the next few seasons, they work hard to create the ideal habitat for fireflies to thrive. But have they done enough to attract the beautiful living stars to their yard once summer comes around again?
