Lucy Knisley is an American cartoonist and graphic novelist known for her autobiographical and food-themed comics. Born in New York City, she grew up surrounded by art and storytelling, as her mother was a children's book author and her father was a graphic novelist. Knisley studied art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has since published several graphic novels, including "Relish: My Life in the Kitchen" and "Something New: Tales from a Makeshift Bride." Her work has been recognized by prestigious awards such as the Eisner Award and the Ignatz Award. Knisley continues to create and share her unique blend of personal experiences and illustrations in her work.
