David Aguilar, Ferran Aguilar, and Lawrence Schimel are the co-authors of Piece by Piece: How I Built My Life (No Instructions Required). David Aguilar is a Spanish writer, journalist, and LGBTQ+ advocate. He has written numerous books and articles on topics such as gender identity, sexual orientation, and social justice. Ferran Aguilar is a Spanish illustrator and graphic designer. He has worked on various projects for publishing houses, magazines, and cultural institutions. Lawrence Schimel is an American writer, translator, and editor based in Madrid, Spain. He has published over 100 books in multiple genres, including poetry, fiction, and children's literature. Together, these three authors have created a powerful memoir that explores the complexities of identity and the journey towards self-acceptance.
