Joy Michael Ellison is a queer and non-binary writer, activist, and educator based in New York City. They have been writing and performing for over a decade, using their platform to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and marginalized communities. In addition to their work as an author, Ellison has also worked with various organizations and institutions to create inclusive spaces for marginalized voices. Their writing has been featured in publications such as The Huffington Post and The Advocate. Ellison is passionate about using storytelling to bring visibility to underrepresented communities and is dedicated to amplifying the voices of trans women of color in particular.
