Tegan and Sara are an iconic Canadian indie pop duo comprised of identical twin sisters Tegan and Sara Quin. Born in Calgary, Alberta in 1980, the Quin sisters began writing music at a young age and released their first album, "Under Feet Like Ours," in 1999. Since then, they have released eight studio albums, received multiple Juno Awards, and have been nominated for Grammy Awards. Their music is known for its catchy hooks, heartfelt lyrics, and powerful vocals. In addition to their music career, Tegan and Sara are also activists, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, women's rights, and environmental causes. They have written a memoir, "High School," and co-created the comic book series "Tegan and Sara: Junior High" with artist Tillie Walden, which tells the story of their teenage years. Walden is an award-winning graphic novelist and illustrator, known for her evocative and visually stunning work.
