Julie Leung is an award-winning author and playwright, known for her captivating storytelling and imaginative worlds. A graduate of Harvard University and the University of Southern California, she has taught creative writing at various institutions and has a background in film and television production. Her work has been recognized by prestigious organizations such as the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and her debut picture book, The Truth About Dragons, was a Caldecott Honor Book. When not writing, Julie can be found exploring new hiking trails and trying out new recipes in her kitchen. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her family and their mischievous cat, Luna.
