Claribel A. Ortega is a Dominican-American author and entrepreneur known for her whimsical and fantastical storytelling. Born and raised in New York City, she has always been drawn to the magic of books and writing. After graduating from Fordham University, Claribel pursued a career in marketing and advertising before turning her passion for writing into a full-time career. Her debut novel, "Ghost Squad," was selected as a Junior Library Guild selection and has been praised for its representation of Latinx characters and culture. When she's not writing, Claribel can be found hosting book events, mentoring aspiring writers, and advocating for diversity in literature.
