Hena Khan is a Pakistani-American author who has written numerous award-winning books for children, including Amina's Voice, Under My Hijab, and Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns. Growing up in Maryland, Khan was inspired by her own experiences and the lack of diverse representation in children's literature to write stories that celebrate her Muslim heritage. She is also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusivity in literature and has spoken at various conferences and events on the topic. In addition to writing, Khan has worked as a lawyer, teacher, and librarian. She currently resides in Rockville, Maryland with her family.
